Hi Guys and Gals. Sounds like a nice day- 32 degrees- not bad!! It snowed here today and left icy walks. Have a wonderful campfire- I'll be thinking of all of you and wishing I was there.

Yes it was cold and windy, but it was fun. We got home a little while ago and I am in defrost mode.... I am very glad we did it- Any time to camp with friends is good!!

We are home all safely. Frank is in his toasty bed fast asleep. We went directly to my brothers on the way home for good luck pork and cabbage - we had the aroma of 'campfire'on us while we visited - awww the smell of camping, my favorite!!! Hope all of our Elk Neck New Years friends are staying warm and happy. Yes it was cold, but it was a good time. I really am glad we tried it. If the wind was not so bad, I think the I could have dealt w/ the cold better.It was a super way to spend new years. Now I will start counting down the weeks before we are all out together again. To all the travelers this weekend- be safe! I will post some photos tomorrow.

Thank you Scott! I may just need you! Frank has his shrimp stuff all ready..... Right now I am going to my friends viewing. She worked w/ me at school. She had cancer and then developed an infection while being at the hospital. She leaves behind two school=aged children. Sad

Oh boy, Chris and Scott are both there. Who arrives tomorrow? I am SO ready for this- I really wish we were there tonight!! Keep our site open...we want to arrive early. See ya soon. Do you guys need anything? I am bringing New Year hats and noise makers- cant celebrate w/o them!

Updated...2008 Camping Memories
1. The stolen Grill
2. The SNAFU softball game at GB V
3. Being the big weiner at Elk Neck 2008 after having to make that most difficult decision of Door 1, Door 2 or ten other prizes. After all, I only started out with a subscription to Trailer Life magazine. Oh, and getting yelled out by Sharon for doing NOTHING wrong!
4. The movement of the tent at Elk Neck
5. memorial day in VA Beach watching a truck circle our camper at 2am....that lead to our upgrade!!!
6.Creekside Campground...waking up to an amazing thunderstorm and sitting under the awning at 3:30am with my wonderful hubby! LOVED THAT!!!
7.same Creekside Campground weekend, but has nothing to do with a thunderstorm...Nudge nudge wink wink, know what I mean.
8. Elk Neck Rally when everyone got in the street to 'moon' Davethe Techman, only to find out we had the wrong trailer!!!

My wife and I have a 99 Adventurer and have sign up for site 19! It will be My wife and 15 yr old son and me.
I have upgraded the rally list on the first page, so its official- you are now an Elk Neck rally member- welcome!!!!!
Welcome Wkndfun! Glad you could join us! Sharon, did you forget about me in Site #9? :( Just kidding. . .next time you update the first page, we'll be there on Thurs and leaving on Sun! Woo-Hoo!

Frank is all smiles after that game. Frank and Frankie just returned. That was a really good game!! Well any win against Dallas is nice but with that score...oh my!!
Chris keep a eye on our sites, make sure no one takes them before we arrive. Enjoy the peace and quiet (for a while at least!) We will arrive early Wednesday- good news w/ no check in time--I wonder how eary we can arrive???

Merry Christmas dear camping friends! Everything here was great- We hope that all of you are enjoying the holiday. We are now planning New Years Eve Camping Party!!! As far as a site, even if site 24 gets booked we have several of us with the drive thru sites that can hold the campfire. We are bringing 'Frank's Famous Shrimp" to munch on as we ring in the New Year. We are excited- this will certainly be different.
Well off to bed, this Mrs Claus is exhausted.

My feet are tired of walking..shopping is hard work! I truly love Christmas but the shopping part isn't as fun as it use to be. Lets face it, the older we get chances are we've bought each item sometime in the past- looking for that 'different gift' takes work! Anyone finished their shopping yet????????????

I, too, missed the "mystery guest." This is soooo cool - not knowing!
Not saying it's them, but hey, if I were Dave/Kim, I bag the VFW gig and camp out with us; we'll have everything they'd have, except for the band/DJ (and then I'm sure with everyone that's at Elk Neck, Guy Lombardo is bound to be heard!) OR It could be the Crane's just itching to show us their new RV (which I can't wait to see!) OR perhaps, like Sharon suggested, Jay/Gay. . . .traveling over the river and through the woods (and possibly snow) to join us so they can try out that grill during Winter - - - hotcakes & sausage anyone???? I can't wait to see everyone and meet new friends!!!
I agree, having a Mystery Guest is exciting...maybe its Santa!!
Scott, Frank told me to say "Raven's got robbed, that was not a touchdown! The ball never crossed the goal line."
Watch the Eagles on Monday night, Frank and I are going to the game!
